My Daughter's Review of "Nate Rocks the World"

Before I post my 11 year old's review, I would like to thank  Alan Tucker, Author of the Mother Earth Series.  Alan is running a brilliant contest on his website. In an effort to get more teens reading and writing, Alan is giving away either a Kindle Fire or a Nook - to a teen! The catch - the teen has to write and post a review online to get an entry. See the above link for all the details.

I thank Alan because my 11 year old daughter, upon hearing of this contest, eagerly proclaimed, "I want to enter!"

This is the child who I have to practically beg to read or write (unless it is for homework.)  Her immediate response - can I write a review for Nate Rocks the World?  FYI - I've been trying to get my daughter to write a review of my book since it came out last July. Apparently I had to offer prizes - who knew?

The rules of Alan's contest state the teen has to be 13 or over to enter. My daughter is 11. So I contacted Alan, and he said she could enter her review if I posted it for her.  So here we go:

"Nate Rocks the World is about a 4th grader named Nathan Rockledge. He's not very cool, especially with his annoying 13 year old sister and his mom who needs some cooking lessons. But Nate loves to draw. Using his imagination, his drawings come to life and goes on many adventures.

I think Nate Rocks the World is a great book. The authors name is Karen Toz and she is one of the best authors I have ever read. (Note from Karen Toz: there was no bribery involved in having her write that line.) This book is a great book for all ages. Whether you're reading it to someone or reading it by yourself you'll love it."

Not bad! She is now on her second review... good luck to all who enter!
